Westminster Early Childhood Education Programs are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Department of Human Services, and hold a 4 out of 4 STARS rating from the PA Office of Child Development & Early Learning.  We offer high quality, full day and part day early childhood educational experiences for children ages 3 months to 5 years old. 

Westminster Nursery School opened its doors in the fall of 1958 when Westminster Presbyterian Church recognized the need for a community preschool. Originally, the program enrolled 30 children and offered two classes. 

Over the years, we have seen an increase in building size, the addition of indoor and outdoor play spaces, and an increase in class offerings and enrollment. We do, however, remain constant in our goal to provide the highest quality educational opportunities for young children in our community. 

We see each student and his/her family as an important part of the Westminster legacy. We welcome you to celebrate our history, enjoy the present, and work together with us to build a strong future for the children and families of our community.

Westminster Child Development Center began operating in January of 1983 with an enrollment of eight children and employing two staff. 

Over the years, the demand for high quality child care and education has increased. The Child Development Center grew to six classrooms and an enrollment of close to 100 children. 

Our Child Development Center program offers full day (7 am-6pm) care and education of children ages 3 months to 5 years old.  Our focus is providing your child with experiences and opportunities to grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually, while engaging in developmentally appropriate activities.
